Cyprus and Bahrain have signed a number of agreements during President Nicos Anastasiades’ visit to Bahrain.
Most importantly, Minister of Foreign Affairs Ioannis Kasoulides signed a double taxation agreement with the Minister of Finance of Bahrain Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa. Moreover, agreements were also signed in regards to fighting terrorism and organised crime, cooperation in the field of health and a Memorandum of Understanding on air services. Further, it is worth noting that Bahrain will for the first time accredit an ambassador to Cyprus, a sign of the strengthened relationship between the two countries.
