Cyprus and Russia have agreed to sign a new protocol on economic co-operation.
The protocol will be signed by the presidents of Cyprus and Russia on the 25th of February when president Anastasiades will visit Moscow. The protocol relates to the areas of energy, commerce, tourism, agriculture, education and science.
The new protocol re-affirms the close ties between the two countries. It is expected that there might be new co-operation between the two countries in other fields such as maritime commerce, telecommunications and technical military cooperation. Moreover, on the 25th of February the two countries will also sign an agreement to renew their military co-operation.
