The Cypriot Minister of Finance and the Iranian Deputy Economy Minister have signed in Nicosia on the 4th of August 2015 a double tax agreement between the two countries.
This is a very significant development which is expected to assist the strengthening of the financial ties between the two countries. This agreement is particularly important after the lifting of international sanctions against Iran following a historic deal regarding Iran’s nuclear program. The lifting of the sanctions is expected to create many opportunities for financial cooperation between the two countries, especially in the fields of exports and constructions.
