The Chinese Embassy in Cyprus organised a gala on the 24th of September to celebrate the National Day of the People’s Republic of China.
The National Day is celebrated every year on October 1st which is the same date Cyprus celebrates its independence day. The event which was also attended by Danos & Associates was a success and was attended by a number of well known persons from the world of politics and finance and a large number of Chinese families who live in Cyprus.
Cyprus and China enjoy a long friendship and the economic and political relations between the 2 countries have been strengthened significantly over the last few years. Cyprus is a popular destination for Chinese investors who wish to obtain permanent residency and/or citizenship in the country through investment. Moreover, Cyprus has seen an increased number of tourists from China over the last few years and more Chinese people are now registering companies in the country and the Cypriot financial sector is becoming more well known in China.
Between the 2nd and 5th of October, the Cultural Institute of the Democratic Rally in co-operation with the Chinese Embassy and Chinese Ministry of Culture, are organising a China-Cyprus Culture Festival. The festival will include a joint photograph exhibition and a dancing show by China Wuxi Performing Arts Group which will be free for the public.
